Some Advantages to Searching in Worldcat Local at Auraria Library include:
- Immediate access to resources both at the Auraria Library and in other libraries - local, national, and beyond - usually with an option for borrowing the resource if it's not available on campus or online. For most searches, Auraria Library holdings will appear first and the record will say 'Held by: Auraria Library'
- One search retrieves resources of all types: journals, books, ebooks, videos, government publications, and more. Though most of the Library's journal databases are not yet integrated into World Cat Local, tens of thousands of periodical articles are included in this first iteration.
- The ability to create lists of recommended resources, add reviews and descriptive tags to records, and more. In order to use and fully plumb these options create a free account on Worldcat at Auraria.
- The Library will conduct learning sessions on Worldcat at Auraria Library. The first, Unveiling WorldCat Local at Auraria Library will be on August 28th, 9:30-11:00 in the Jackson Enhanced Learning Center at the Auraria Library. Please register here.
